furniture maker. artist. craftsman

Each piece of furniture I make is as remarkable as the wood it comes from. They are collaborations with nature.

a marriage of traditional tools and age old methods that produces beautiful, bespoke oak furniture for the house and garden.

My skill lies in breathing new life into naturally fallen, naturally seasoned timber - giving it new form.

The processes I employ treads lightly on the land, and my low energy and low tech approach to craftsmanship reveals the organic beauty in the wood. It is my partner in the process not simply my material.

Through my ethical, sustainable philosophy, using locally sourced oak which I fashion by hand, I bring a timeless originality to each piece.

From my workshop at Lower farm, Enchmarsh, Shropshire,

each piece of furniture I produce has its own story.

simple and unique since 2009.

If you would like to discuss a piece of furniture for your house or garden please contact me using one of the methods below, I would love to hear from you.

It always helps me to have as much information as possible about the piece you are looking for.

With a free standing piece I ideally like photographs of the space in which it is to be placed and perhaps images of furniture designs and styles you like (if they are not ones from my portfolio).

For fitted furniture a site visit is preferable to take measurements.

Once I have enough information I produce costed, scale drawings by hand, for you to look at and digest.

if you would like to proceed, I can then book you in. please note that for garden furniture commissions discussions generally need to begin during the winter for early summer delivery, and that all lead times are dependant on the commission and what is already booked in.
