crow’s nest treehouse
this crow’s nest tree house is self supporting, using the trunk as the fixing point and constructed using traditional methods and specialist stud tree fasteners that allow the structure to move with the tree as it sways in the wind and grows.
the main beams are bolted to the tree and also to the support rafters, with all other structural timbers fixed with weight bearing hex headed screws. the floor is made from non-slip deck boards.
there is a rope ladder with a trap door and bucket on a pulley at the back, a cargo / climbing net is fitted at the front. all of these elements will aid with the physical development of the children that use it, improving balance and gross motor skills, and stimulate their imagination through creative play.
